Presentation:
A vehement passion for music is what originally united three friends from the ancestral city of Al Qayrawen as they started performing together tunes by their favorite bands. With the same unflagging passion and a breath of inspiration, the young men composed their first instrumental piece entitled “Gravity”. A fascinating assortment of genres, the song merged oriental music with rock and metal influences and was to encapsulate RaZZmataZZ's musical style, an eclectic style purposefully difficult to pin down. Their interview on Radio Tunis Bledi, where the young musicians talked about their music and artistic projects, introduced them to a wider number of audience and infused them with a greater sense of motivation and a determination to please the listeners. Shortly after the interview, the band made their first appearance on stage in the Midi-Midnight Event: a concert held within the framework of the fight against AIDS. Their outstanding performance was not only one of the surprises of the event but also a strong incentive for RaZZmataZZ to plan other shows and present its audience with its latest songs. The two subsequent concerts were equally a success as the audience relished this original style of music which beautifully fused seemingly incompatible genres. Their single “Shiny Star”, written and composed as a tribute to the victims of Gaza was broadcast in many Radio stations and music programmes, namely Zanzana, thus increasing the audience and catching the attention of many radio presenters who invited the band to their programmes. As each of their songs was brilliantly received by the public, the members of the band- Ahmed Hamza (drums), Mohamed Gahtar (bass) and Yasser Mestiri (guitar) - made their utmost to meet the audience's fine expectations. In this context, two more members joined the band- Mohamed Beji (violin) and Youssef Najjar (piano/ keyboard)- thus establishing RaZZmataZZ's final look. The band is perpetually open to new styles and its members are always making a thorough criticism of themselves and love to hear the opinion of their fans concerning their latest productions. As they delight in good music and excellent art, the young men aspire to satisfy their listeners with a pure and superior form of music that comes right from the hearts of highly ambitious and creative young artists.
